One clock, not alternating phases

AMRAP commonly means As Many Rounds or Reps As Possible within a chosen time. An AMRAP timer therefore counts down one continuous duration. It does not decide when you work, insert an automatic recovery period, or evaluate the quality of completed repetitions.

Choose five, ten, fifteen, or twenty minutes, or enter a custom duration. The round counter sits beside the running AMRAP timer so you can add a round after finishing the full planned sequence. The minus control corrects an accidental tap. A completion screen retains the final count for review.

Use the tracker without interrupting the clock

After the preparation cue, the total countdown begins. Add one round only according to the definition used in your own session. Some plans count complete movement sequences; others track repetitions differently. The tool intentionally does not impose a scoring rule.

Pause when the session itself is paused, not merely while updating the tracker. Resume continues from the exact stored time. Preset buttons change the actual duration field and reset the visible tracker so an old count is not mistaken for a new session.

AMRAP and EMOM answer different timing questions

An AMRAP timer answers “how much time remains in the whole block?” An EMOM timer answers “how much time remains before the next fixed start?” If you need a cue every minute, choose EMOM. If you need a single deadline with manual progress, stay with AMRAP.

The round total is a record you enter, not a fitness score or assessment. Configuration examples demonstrate the interface only. Work at an appropriate level for the environment and your circumstances; stop if continuing would be unsafe.

Keep the round count meaningful

Decide before starting what qualifies as a completed round. Tap plus only after that unit is complete, and use minus immediately if a tap was accidental. The counter remains available while the clock runs or pauses, but it does not affect the deadline. Selecting a new duration preset clears the count so a value from an earlier block is not carried into a new setup.

The AMRAP timer announces the preparation-to-AMRAP transition and the final completion. It does not announce automatic recovery periods because none exist in this mode. Fullscreen keeps the manual counter near the large countdown, allowing a round to be recorded without reopening the configuration panel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Practical answers about how this timer format works.

What does AMRAP mean?

It commonly means As Many Rounds or Reps As Possible during a fixed time block.

Does the AMRAP timer schedule rest?

No. It runs one continuous countdown. Any pauses or pacing choices belong to the session plan, not an automatic timer phase.

How do I correct the round count?

Use the minus button to remove one round. The count never drops below zero.

Does the timer judge my workout result?

No. It shows time and stores a temporary count on screen. It does not assess performance or health outcomes.

How is AMRAP different from EMOM?

AMRAP uses one total duration; EMOM repeats fixed windows and cues every boundary.
