The interval timer asks for Screen Wake Lock only after a session starts. Supported browsers may release that lock when the page becomes hidden, so the app requests it again after a return. This improves convenience but cannot override operating-system power controls. Saving the most recent validated setup also depends on local storage being permitted by the current browser profile.
